Fangirl Tour Stop
I can't promise this is at all coherent, but here goes nothing. ;)

Hannibal Lecter Series
Perspective by Zircon (MA, Lecter/Clarice)
Clarice, on the trail of another serial killer, gets some unexpected help from an old friend.
My favorite post-Silence of the Lambs, pre-Hannibal story. I love how Dr Lecter helps Clarice here and how well they work together.
Evolution by Zircon (MA, Lecter/Clarice)
Clarice finally apprehends Dr. Lecter, but has second thoughts.
Again, Dr Lecter and Clarice make a great team. One of my favorite post-Hannibal movie canon stories out there.
Best of Three by Zircon [Big surprise, there. ;P] (MA, Lecter/Clarice)
Clarice and Dr. Lecter cross paths again, and the Doctor is anxious to continue their game of cat and mouse.
Clarice and the Good Doctor play high-stakes hide and seek. Whenever I'm in the mood for good old Lecter/Clarice banter I search out this story.
Harry Potter
The Buried Life by Kalina (M, Snape/Hermione)
Harry disappears just before the start of his seventh year, and Hermione and Snape work together to find him.
This is my unofficial post-GoF canon. If I'm ever in the mood to forget the last three books ever happened, this is where I go. There's so much about it I love, from Harry's storyline down to the details of the chair in Dumbledore's cabin. I need to reread it at some point, it's been a long time.
Corsicuum by ladyofthemasque (MA, Snape/Hermione)
Severus and Hermione are cursed on the day of the final battle; can they survive their new circumstances long enough to uncover and administer the counter-curse?
I realized while putting this post together that I didn't really have a specific post-OotP canon fic to turn to like I could with The Buried Life for GoF. This story was, however, the last fanfic I read before HBP came out. I loved it when I read it and it brings me back to a good time in my HP fangirl history.
In Annulo by ladyofthemasque (MA, Snape/Hermione, alt link)
It began with a letter, and a secret. Was it madness to trust? Was it a secret salvation? Or was it all just lying on a ring, in the end...?
This story is my nuh-uh-DH-didn't-happen canon. My favorite year-seven-final-battle-didn't-happen-yet fic ever. It was one of those fanfics I had a hard time stepping away from before I finished it. I find myself going back and reading bits all the time.
Where Your Treasure Is by zeegrindylows (T, Snape/Hermione)
Severus Snape survives, only to find himself entangled in an enchantment he never expected.
This. Happened. I don't care WTF JKR says. This is my post-DH. My book eight. Period.
Protector by ladyofthemasque (MA, Snape/Hermione)
A mysterious warning from the future prompts Snape to protect Hermione from a terrible curse.
I read this right before I read In Annulo, so I suppose I was a bit spoiled as to the twist for that story, but I'm glad for it. This story hits upon my fondness for You've Got Mail/She Loves Me/The Shop Around the Corner and weirdly enough I didn't notice the similarities until this past Saturday.
Disbelieving in Trees by Potter47 (K+, Ron/Hermione, Snape/Luna, Ron/Luna, Snape/Hermione)
Luna had never really bothered to look up the word 'implausible' in the dictionary—or 'plausible', for that matter. And, as such, she didn't realise that what she was attempting was not only 'implausible' but completely insane.
I love Potter47's Luna. He had me worried for a while with this story (see musical-chair pairings up there ^^), but everything turned out great. I highly recommend this for Luna's, well... lunacy, on its own.
Believe in Yesterday by Potter47 (T, Follows Living inside Yesterday, Followed by Yesterday's Tears)
What if you could reach back in time and change the one event that forever altered your life? Would you do it? What would it be?
Again, I love Potter47's Luna. I don't generally read much Luna fic because I usually stick to SSHG, but the characterizations of Luna and her family in this story colored my perception of the characters forever. I was disappointed with JKR's Xenophilius Lovegood because he wasn't London Lovegood. I don't think I've ever been that fond of an OC before this.
House
The Roots of Rhythm Remain by sabinelagrande (MA, House/Cuddy/Wilson, Part of the Rhythm of the Saints universe)
Greg, Lisa, James, and Evan, and how their story goes on.
I made cover art for this story for
house_bigbang and I fell in love with it. I haven't read many House fics yet, but I'm glad I found this one.
The Pretender
Chasing Cars by anr (K+, Jarod/Miss Parker)
It's not just about the hunt anymore; maybe never was.
I miss Pretender. A lot. This story reminds me how much I miss it.
All the Flickering Lights by Pen (K+, Jarod/Miss Parker)
She looks away first; worries for a heartbeat that she's the weak twin.
I love this Jarod. There's a very pretty image of him and Miss Parker in this story I can't get out of my head. Not a literal image image, but I want to draw one for it or something. Very nice.

HP has been my primary fandom since 2003 and darn it if it doesn't grab hold of you for a bloody long time. I dabble in House (House/Cuddy) and Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack/Elizabeth, Barbossa/Elizabeth) but nothing's managed to tear me away from HP just yet. I plan on watching Lost once it's all wrapped up, which is sort of cheating. Alas, I was burned pretty bad with Alias, so I wait. Col. Tavington, eh? I think I'm going to have to do some searching on that front...

You may also be interested in this, though it's not as good as it could be, especially towards the end. Yet I've never bothered to edit it, because I wouldn't know where to start.

In which a fourteen-year-old Severus finds himself having the best summer of his life.

It looks like I'll really be pushing the envelope.
Thanks very much.

I've really enjoyed the Fangirl Tour, as well. Even though I have such a backlog of fics to read now, it's not even funny.

I don't search ff.net either, just when something is recommended. There's just so much... junk to wade through.
