I don't know if it was the script, Mia Maestro, my love for the original or my family's twisted sense of humor, but Poseidon has got to be one of the most unintentionally funny movies I've ever seen. I mean...guh! What on earth was that? Last time I checked, you were supposed to care about the characters in a disaster movie, so that when they start dying it's sad. Boy, did they miss the mark with that.
Incidentally, Mia Maestro has the worst luck. A coffee table and a capsized ocean liner, all in the space of a month.
Some movies should just be left alone.
We went home and promptly watched The Poseidon Adventure on my nice new Special Edition DVD.

PS: Flicka? Are they attempting to remake every movie Roddy McDowall was ever in? They've got their work cut out for them...
