...how much larger and more intimidating this building looks on TV than it does up close.

The Centre: Always Under Construction. (No, seriously. That orange plastic stuff is there in a lot of shots in the show and here it is in 2002.)

Why must you give me things like this to think about just before I go to sleep?

From Pre-teen Scream. I will have 'I Saw Your Face and Wow!' stuck in my head for about a week, now.

According to this blog (and confirmed by his agent), Matthew Macfadyen has been cast as the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new Robin Hood movie. Oddly enough, this casting choice doesn't send me into irrational fits of fangirlish rage. I'm actually considering seeing the darned movie for the first time since I heard of it. He is probably the only actor I could imagine being cast as the Sheriff without me flipping out (in a bad way).

The reason I prefer the 2005 Pride and Prejudice over the 1995 version, other than having seen it first, is because Matthew reminded me so much of Alan Rickman and, as I'm an obsessive SSHGer, the Pride and Prejudice storyline with a Rickmanesque Darcy appeals greatly. (Digging through the depths of my LJ, I found this entry. I remember I almost made a DVD cover, too. Overkill? Who me?) I'd like to think Alan and Matthew could play relatives pretty well. *hint hint movie industry*

For TMI about my thought processes, Matthew stands in my hierarchy of obsessions at either a secondary or tertiary position. Secondary, most likely. The only real reason he isn't a primary obsession is because he doesn't have enough stuff for me to collect and horde. Yet.

...I have a hierarchy of obsessions. I'm weird.

This is funny for two reasons:

1) I didn't make it.
2) My picspam from last night was done in comic form before I saw this and I thought it worked out OK.

And, really, the thought almost appeals to me more than a novel, despite my complete inability to read graphic novels/comic books and pay attention to the artwork at the same time. My Pretender fanship has always been a very visual thing for me, even within fanfic (I always looked forward to the cast pages in the Virtual Series). In fact, whenever I cap/icon an episode, it always occurs to me just how pretty the show was. I'd like to think there'd be some darned epic artwork in a Pretender graphic novel. I... almost want to learn how to draw comic artwork, just to try and put something together. Some visuals (because I've got them handy):

Tonight's episode Here Kitty could have been called OMG, Purple EVERYWHERE! and it would be just as fitting. I mean, maybe I'll notice a couple of color coordinating outfits in an average epi, but wow. So. Much. Purple.

EDIT: OK, maybe now it's spoilerish... (I wrote 'OK, maybe now it's purple' first, lol.) )
