Last Friday night, my laptop cord sort of... melted. Not completely, and it didn't cause any real problems, thank God, but still. Laptop cord + melted = NOT GOOD. I ordered a refurbished one from macsales.com because, great googly moogly, they're half the price shipped than a brand new one from the Apple Store. If this one doesn't last the three years + that my melty one did, I can always buy another without straining my finances quite so badly.

The only downside to ordering online was the wait. I've missed my MacBook so very much this week. But I'm back now and it feels good. And, with nothing to distract me, I completely finished cleaning my room for the first time in years. That right there? Feels really good. I filled three moving/storage bins with crap to move to the attic. No freaking wonder I never finished cleaning before. There simply wasn't room for everything. (I have the smallest room in the house and you bet I eek out every last inch of storage space I can from the place. I have a scale drawing of the room on poster board with movable scale versions of my furniture to plan layouts, so I won't go trapping myself in the far corner like a bad game of Klotski.)

So, just in case it seemed like I disappeared for a while, well, that'd be why. But it's good to be back.
