The Gissing Legacy, 1.0

This is George Gissing, courtesy of

This is his lovely little abode. Quaint, isn't it?

What is the first thing he does after checking out his house?

Aw, George, you're a sim after my own heart...

I quickly discover that I should have flattened the darned lot before I moved him in. I had no idea sims had to have completely level ground for greeting and such.

The welcome wagon shows up soon after George and the Matchmaker finally shake hands. He immediately takes a liking to Marisa Bendett, which I think is kind of amusing because she married my other legacy founder, Will Turner, in Pleasantview.

Brandi LaTourwhatever doesn't think too highly of George. He basically ignores her and Ben Long to tell Marisa how much he likes ships. Hey, in another life, she was married to the captain of the Flying Dutchman. That could work for her.

He sends the welcome wagon on their way and snags a job in the Slacker path first shot. Don't look so excited there, George...

Aw, it's cute. He dreams of Marisa. He loooves her.

Until he comes from work the next day with

They have two bolts and she says she has $$.

George: I think I'm in love!

George: Can I kiss her?
I don't know, George, can you?
Honestly, I think their priorities may differ a bit. She moves in, bringing with her 14$ (!) and a seriously wacky set of stats that I don't remember. And she's pleasure with a LTW of 50 Dream Dates.

He still dreams of Marisa...

Slobby quickly lives up to her name. I usually play neat sims. She is ridiculous. The room score constantly plummets, thanks to her.

Kendal: You know, if you'd have gone to college, we probably wouldn't be living in a shack.

George is none too pleased with his girlfriend's filthiness.

Seriously.

He turns to Jan Tellerman for comfort.

And Kendal turns to the newspaper. Bye, Kendal!
(I couldn't stomach her passing on those icky messy genes.)

After work, George invites Jan over for some quality time.

George: Grr. She makes me happy.
Unfortunately, he was exhausted and she left shortly after she arrived so he could sleep.

What're you looking at, George?
George: A mirror. Isn't it pretty? It reminds me of Jan.

George, you couldn't possibly see the mirror from that window.
George: I miss Jan...
Oh, all right.

Gee, you weren't kidding.

I think I'm in love!
Jan moves in with about $3000 and a LTW to Woohoo 20 sims. Another Romance sim. She's also already a professional party guest. Yay, money!

Or not. She lost her job on her first night of work.

George doesn't think any less of her, though.

George: This is my Woohoo dance.

Yay!

Double yay!

Aw, he really does love her.

He loves her enough to marry her in the front yard next to a pile of garbage.

Um...
Jan: Hi! Do I know you?

George: Kendal was right. I should have gone to college.

Jan: And when I up, down, touch the ground, it puts me in the mood...

To pop!

Lather.

Rinse.

Repeat.

George really is very fond of Jan.

Unfortunately, she has someone else on her mind.

Jan: *sigh* Someday, my prince will come.
And who might that be, Jan?

Jan: He's so handsome, I could wet myself!
